Cutting at an angle<\/strong><\/p>\n

If a bouquet is left without water for more than a few minutes, the \u2018wounds\u2019 dry out, reducing their ability to absorb water. Therefore, cut about 3 cm. diagonally off the stems with a sharp knife. Blunt pliers cause the stems to be pinched off, reducing their ability to absorb water.<\/p>\n

Place in a clean vase as soon as possible.<\/strong><\/p>\n

Flowers love water! Therefore, it is important to put the bouquet in water as soon as possible so that they can absorb water again. Make sure the vase is clean, clean with a little chlorine if necessary. We recommend a glass vase for several reasons. Bacteria are less likely to form on the wall of a glass vase, you can easily see whether there is still enough water in it and whether the water is still clean or needs to be changed.<\/p>\n

Flowers do not like sun, draughts or heat. Heat and draughts accelerate the loss of moisture in flowers, making them more likely to droop. Do not put flowers near the fruit bowl either. This is because fruit undergoes a ripening process, during which ethylene gas is released. This gas is harmful to the flowers and will reduce their beauty.<\/p>\n

Leaf and spent flowers<\/strong><\/p>\n

To prevent water pollution, it is important that no leaves get into the water. This is because leaves will rot in the water. Rose thorns can simply stay on the stem. It is best to remove spent flowers from the bouquet.
